'Halt police investigation in sexual harassment case': WB Guv's letter to Chief Secretary

In a recent development WB Governor, CV Ananda Bose has written a letter to Chief Secretary, BP Gopalika asking to stop police investigation in sexual harassment case.

A day earlier, Raj Bhavan released a statement on X announcing an initiave "Sach ke Saamne"  to address the allegations, inviting citizens to view the CCTV footage at the Governor's House. 

It asked the people to send requests over email or phone to attend the programme at Raj Bhavan and the first 100 people would be allowed to see the footage inside the Governor's House on Thursday morning.

The post further added that "Governor has decided that the CCTV footage can be seen by any citizen of West Bengal — except politician Mamata Banerjee and her police for the stand they had taken, which is in public domain."
